Cancer Central Homepage Redesign Case Study
Project Overview:
Cancer Central wanted to redesign their homepage to better communicate its services to users.
The main problem with the existing homepage was that users did not understand what Cancer Central offered,
particularly their chatbot feature that directed people affected by cancer to support, services, products, and events based on filtered parameters such as location and cancer type.
Discovery Workshop:
We conducted a discovery workshop to understand the user's needs and gather requirements for the homepage redesign. This helped us to
identify the pain points and limitations
of the current homepage and determine the necessary changes.
Team Workshops:
Based on the information gathered in the discovery workshop, we organized a series of team workshops to
brainstorm challenges and research solutions.
During these workshops, we also ideated and created user journey flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
Solution:
Our solution was to bring the conversation start box to the homepage,
making it more visible and accessible to users.
This allowed them to immediately understand the chatbot feature and its capabilities.
User Journey Flows:
We created user journey flows diagrams to
visualise the user's experience and identify pain points.
This helped us to optimize the user experience and provide a seamless flow for users to access the chatbot.
Wireframes and Final UIs:
Based on the user journey flows, we developed wireframes and prototypes to validate the solution and make any necessary changes. The final UIs were designed with the user in mind,
ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
Outcome:
The Cancer Central homepage redesign was a success and received positive feedback from users. The new homepage effectively communicated the chatbot feature and its capabilities, making it easier for users to access the support, services, products, and events they needed.
